South Old State Road

The Southern Delaware region has been one of the most rapidly growing counties in Ohio attracting residents and business from the entire state and beyond. The Columbus metropolitan area has been expanding northward and this expansion is expected to continue in the future. Population, employment and commercial growth in the region has also brought additional challenges of Delaware County in the form of traffic congestion, need to connect with regional roadways and highways such as I-71, and need to access employment and commercial centers such as Polaris.

South Old State Road (County Road 10) is a north-south collector road linking U.S. Route 36 to the north with Polaris Parkway (State Road 750) to the south. South Old State Road also provides access to the Alum Creek Reservoir recreational areas.

The purpose of the project is to study necessary upgrades to Old State Road from Polaris to U.S. 36, and implement those upgrades as required by traffic and safety demands.
